Barry Hanson of Twinleaf Town

looking-through-time:

He ran a hand through his hair with a sheepish chuckle, using the other one to accept the handshake. “Some choose not to share their name for reasons unrelated to work,” he explained. As for the secretive thing- well, there were a lot of things he didn’t want to talk about, so it was kind of hard to get to know someone while trying to completely avoid certain topics in order not to be questioned about them. “I apologize if I do not appear very open. But, it is nice to meet you too!”

Like what? What’d be a good reason to not give out your name?” You just really don’t get that, but hey, he probably had a few good explanations for that. He’d know better than you, probably. “But you’re a stranger. Strangers don’t have to be as open anyways!

“I suppose I do know him, yes. A fine lad.” He tilted his head and binked at the other curiously. “And who are you? Is it alright to tell me, or will I need to refer to you as ‘friend of Lucas’?”

You snort at his response. “I’m not the one who’s the secret agent here, buddy! Of course I can give you my name. The name’s Barry Hanson. Lucas has told me a lot about you. I mean, as much as he could, what with you being so secretive. Nice to meet you!

You extend your hand to him in greeting. Lucas had mentioned this guy to you throughout your whole journey. Apparently those two had become friends/unofficial partners. But you had never even seen him around before and had only seen a picture of him until now. Honestly, you thought Lucas had been lying about the whole Interpol agent thing. This is kind of cool.

“…I highly doubt my profession is much of a secret if I am being talked about so much…”

Well, I guess not… but you know Lucas, don’t you? That’s how I heard about you!
